Job summary

Select Sires, Inc. in Plain City, Ohio, is seeking a Corporate Communications Intern to support marketing and communications efforts.

The temporary, full-time, hourly, non-exempt role reports to the Director of North America Marketing and involves calendar production, press releases, and event support. Ideal candidates are juniors or seniors majoring in communications (or dairy/animal science with a comm focus), with strong grammar, writing, journalism or public relations knowledge, and

Qualifications

• Must have strong grammar and writing skills and a focus on details
• Must have basic journalism and/or public relations knowledge; experience with desktop design (Adobe Creative Suite) is a must, knowledge of Associated Press Style is a plus

Responsibilities

• Produce Select Sires’ yearly breeding calendars
• Write press releases and customer testimonials
• Coordinate trade show logistics and materials
• Assist with desktop publishing projects (advertisements, brochures, flyers)
• Perform clerical duties
• Participate in photoshoots
