Job summary

Refuel is seeking a Dairy Queen Team Member in Monroe, NC to deliver fast, friendly service while preparing food to brand standards. You’ll greet guests, take orders, maintain cleanliness, and work as part of a team to ensure a positive guest experience.

The role requires evening, weekend, and holiday availability with a flexible schedule. Previous retail or food service experience is a plus, and on-the-job training is provided.

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines at all times.
• Handle cash and process payments accurately.
• Restock supplies and ingredients as needed.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet service and speed goals.
• Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Address guest questions or concerns in a friendly and professional manner.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Hourly

Role Type: Full-time or Part-time

Working Hours: Closing Shift- 4pm to 10pm. This position requires flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Weekly hours will vary depending on business needs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet guests promptly and take orders accurately using the point-of-sale system

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

An ideal candidate will have experience with or understanding of:

• Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation.
• Good customer service and communication skills.

• Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

Education and Experience:

An ideal candidate will have the following education and experience:

• Previous retail, food service, or customer service experience.
• On-the-job training is provided for all new team members.

Working environment and physical requirements:

• Must be 16 years or older to apply
• Must be able to stand during the entire work shift.
• Must be able to work in a cooler at a temperature of 35 degrees for up to 30 minutes.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to tolerate gas fumes and cleaning products.
• Must be able to climb a ladder to clean windows.

Travel: Must be able to travel up to10%
