Job summary

CareersInFood.com seeks a Site Food Safety and Quality Leader to manage and advance our food safety and quality programs across high-risk dairy manufacturing operations. You will ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and certification requirements while driving continuous improvement through robust systems and cross-functional collaboration.

Onsite, Monday–Friday 8am–5pm with on-call, occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required; dairy experience preferred.
• 5+ years of quality leadership experience in a dairy manufacturing environment.
• Progressive experience in food safety and quality within manufacturing; dairy experience required.
• Strong knowledge of food safety plans, GMPs, sanitation, environmental monitoring, allergen controls, audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the site food safety and quality management system across operations.
• Ensure regulatory, customer, and third-party compliance; manage inspections and corrective actions.
• Serve as primary site contact for regulatory inspections and guidance to leadership.
• Oversee product and material compliance activities including labeling, testing, and disposition of nonconforming product.
• Provide technical leadership for manufacturing operations, including critical controls and recall readiness.
• Support product launches, process changes, shelf-life validation, and risk-based decisions.
• Lead internal audits, CAPA, KPI reporting, and cross-functional training to strengthen safety culture.
• Oversee laboratory testing support and microbiological risk management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
