Job summary

Zohorecruit seeks an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead food safety and quality operations at a high-volume dairy facility in Cabot, VT. The role reports to the QA Director and oversees QA staff, laboratories, and regulatory audits to ensure compliance with food safety standards.

The ideal candidate has extensive microbiology, HACCP, SQF knowledge, and a proven track record of continuous improvement in a dairy or food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific field required.
• 5+ years in food manufacturing and/or a dairy environment.
• 5+ years in management or senior supervisory leadership.
• Strong knowledge of cheese and cultured products.
• Experience with HACCP and SQF or equivalent food safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the plant QA team in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
• Directly manage the QA Supervisor and Plant Sanitarian, with indirect oversight of laboratory technicians.
• Oversee laboratory testing of raw milk, manufactured products, and plant samples.
• Manage laboratory staffing, scheduling, testing, supplies, equipment, and facilities.
• Lead customer and regulatory audits and certifications (SQF, FDA, USDA).
