Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a QA Technician to conduct analytical and microbiological evaluations of dairy products, ensuring process controls and quality standards are met. The role requires setting up and operating lab equipment, preparing media, and maintaining clean, organized work areas.

The candidate will work with QA policies, contribute to hold procedures and shelf-life evaluations, and assist with training of lab personnel while adhering to GMP and SQF standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or minimum 5 years of dairy laboratory testing experience.
• Must be able to perform analytical and bacteriological testing as specified.
• Able to set up, calibrate, clean and maintain lab equipment; follow GMP/SQF procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical tests (moisture, fat, pH, total solids, salinity, etc.) and bacteriological tests.
• Operate automated testing equipment for milk/butter products.
• Maintain confidentiality and proper data entry; report results to supervision.
• Ensure compliance with SQF, GMP, and safety policies; train new staff as needed.
