Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate people
• Ability to think analytically and communicate clearly
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Windows, Word and Excel; good interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Achieve department goals in production volume, quality, safety, and cost reduction
• Provide leadership and guidance to employees for development and a positive work environment
• Coordinate daily production activities to meet objectives
• Report non-compliances to managers and support corrective actions
• Assign responsibilities and ensure proper equipment operation and procedures
• Monitor employee morale and address departmental issues
• Maintain records including time sheets, absences, overtime, and safety
• Ensure SOPs are accurate and followed
• Oversee safety program and conduct investigations as needed
• Manage employee performance, training, orientation and disciplinary actions
• Enforce policies and company formulations
• Instruct and train current and future staff as needed
• Coordinate with Purchasing on inventory and variance controls
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce losses and costs
