Job summary

Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Production Operator based in Belmont, Wisconsin. Production team members work in various cheese-making functions to ensure continuous and efficient line operation.

Candidates must be able to work over 40 hours per week, weekends required; the job is physical and fast-paced. From your PASSION to ours, we expect strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the physical ability to lift 30–50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous employment in a food industry setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic mathematical skills is required.

Responsibilities

• Meet efficiency budget levels while maintaining high quality.
• Remove and load trays/molds as needed.
• Stage bascular with cookie sheets.
• Ensure even spread of curd into molds.
• Move cheese to draining room tables from chariot.
• Hook up whey pipes properly.
• Turn cheese in draining rooms.
• Run machines (stackers, unmolder, rack washer).
• Place racks on unmolding conveyor.
• Weigh cheese.
• Complete paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Maintain open communication with line workers and supervisor.
• Perform sanitation duties as assigned.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Report production problems to supervisor.
• Attend departmental meetings and training.
• Apply safety rules and GMP standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
