Daisy Brand is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer in Boone, IA to drive processing and sanitation improvements, reduce product variation, and boost system efficiency. You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Research, and Product Management to ensure formula and process standards are met.

You will lead continuous improvement activities, audit plants, evaluate quality trends, and develop data analyses.

Qualifications

• Curiosity for how things work and self-driven learning.
• In-depth understanding of dairy chemistry and microbiology is preferred.
• Understanding of dairy unit operations (pasteurization, homogenization, filtration).
• Experience with data analysis and statistical process control.
• Mastery of technical writing and mathematics.
• Excellent verbal communication across groups and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead Continuous Improvement Activities, coordinating and verifying CI projects.
• Steer Plant Performance toward product specifications and formulas.
• Audit plants to ensure processing and sanitation standards are met.
• Develop data analyses to highlight opportunities for improvement.
• Design, prepare and execute trials to solve manufacturing and dairy science challenges.
