Cumberland Dairy, a farmer-owned brand of Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), seeks a Sanitation Technician to ensure sanitation of machinery, equipment and facilities. The role includes operating power equipment, handling bulk chemicals, and adhering to GMPs in a weekly schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in high speed, high volume automated manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Must be able to read, speak, and write in English.
• Must be able to legibly write entries for record keeping.
• Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach and bend virtually the entire shift.
• Must be able to regularly lift up to 25 pounds, with capabilities to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work near moving mechanical parts with risk of electrical shock.
• Must be able to work in a wet environment with toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure plant meets mandatory sanitation requirements for machinery, equipment and facilities.
• Safely operate power equipment.
• Handle inventory and transfers of bulk chemicals.
• Follow GMPs.
