Job summary

Straus Family Creamery in California is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance operations at our premium dairy processing facility. You will oversee daily maintenance, ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and drive cost-effective performance across equipment, utilities, and facilities.

As part of the leadership team, you will implement CMMS-based preventive maintenance, manage vendors, and collaborate with Operations to improve OEE and reduce downtime while upholding

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or equivalent technical certification.
• 5 years of maintenance management experience in a dairy or food manufacturing.
• Proficiency in MS Office and engineering software (AutoCAD or SolidWorks).
• Familiarity with PLC platforms (Rockwell/AB, Siemens) and process controls.
• Knowledge of OSHA, FDA, USDA standards for dairy manufacturing.
• Spanish language is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and engineering teams to ensure 24/7 production uptime.
• Develop and manage CMMS and preventive maintenance programs.
• Evaluate equipment and technology for expansion and optimization.
• Conduct root cause analysis and lead improvement projects.
• Collaborate with Operations to control costs and improve safety/quality.
• Manage vendor contracts and capital projects.
