Job summary

The Apprentice Maintenance Mechanic role at T.G. Lee Dairy in Orange City, FL places you under supervision to support repairs and routine maintenance across dairy equipment.

You will assist senior technicians, prepare work areas, test machinery for defects, and help document all work in accordance with SOPs. Applicants should be prepared for a physically active environment, able to lift up to 50 pounds, and willing to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with commercial truck repair preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be computer literate and able to use diagnostic equipment.
• Must be able to work in dusty, greasy environment and refrigerated areas.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist mechanics during repairs and maintenance.
• Prepare work areas and transfer tools and parts.
• Examine machinery for defects and ensure proper function.
• Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment.
• Follow SOPs and document work accurately.
• Maintain safety and PPE compliance.
• Maintain records and report supply levels.
