Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America in San Antonio is seeking an operator to run the pasteurizer and ensure product safety and quality. You will follow production guidelines and work within GMP and state/federal regulations.

Responsibilities include collecting milk and cream samples for lab testing, washing and sanitizing silos and tanks, and maintaining accurate records. The role requires reading, writing English, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Production or general work experienced preferred.
• Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate pasteurizer in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Obtain milk and cream samples for testing by lab to include raw and processed product.
• Wash and sanitize milk silos, cream tanks, and any other equipment as needed.
• Produce product according to guidelines and separate into correct batches.
• Follow recipe guidelines for all products produced.
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues.
• Follow all DFA GMPs and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
