Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. in Decatur, AL seeks a dependable Material Handler to support our 24/7 manufacturing operations. You will operate lift trucks and pallet jacks, stage materials, and ensure safe handling of ingredients and chemicals.

You will enter data in SAP ERP, follow FIFO and quality procedures, and assist with audits while maintaining accurate records. The role requires a high school diploma, forklift certification, and strong attention to detail; good attendance and teamwork are

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum two years in food manufacturing preferred.
Lift truck certification required per OSHA regulations.
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicle.
GMP, HACCP, SOP, 5S knowledge is preferred.
Strong math skills are essential.
Solid technical skills to operate equipment controls.
Drug screen and background check required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated work history and good attendance.

Responsibilities

Operate material handling equipment (lift trucks, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently.
Enter data in SAP ERP accurately and on time.
Load/unload trailers per internal/external requirements.
Store materials and ingredients safely in approved locations.
Follow FIFO and inventory control practices and procedures.
Stage batch ingredients to keep production lines ready per schedule.
Inspect materials for specs, labeling, and leaks.
Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
Complete records and documents neatly and accurately.
Support internal/external audits and safety procedures.
