Job summary

Harmons Grocery is seeking a Dairy and Meat Wall Deli Supervisor to oversee daily operations, ensure product quality, and mentor dairy staff. Responsibilities include receiving, stocking, rotating, pricing checks, and maintaining sanitation.

The role requires strong customer service, organizational and leadership skills, with ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays. Experience in grocery or dairy preferred; wysokie standards maintained.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED preferred; one year of grocery or dairy experience preferred; or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
• Basic math skills
• Solid understanding of product rotation
• Must enjoy working with and handling dairy products
• Ability to interpret policies and procedures
• Excellent organization and planning skills
• Must possess solid communication skills, including verbal and listening skills to effectively and efficiently communicate with and manage diverse groups of people
• Ability to appropriately and professionally handle conflict
• Must possess the ability to accept constructive review and be accountable for one’s own success as well as the success of your team

Responsibilities

• Oversee the dairy and meat wall deli departments to ensure quality, freshness, and product assortment.
• Train and mentor new dairy associates and ensure excellent customer service.
• Receive, stock, and rotate products; manage pricing accuracy and signage.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards; inventory and ordering to meet demand.
• Write the dairy schedule and conduct quarterly inventory.
• Collaborate with store leadership to support overall store success.

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The purpose of this position is to oversee the successful operation of the dairy and meat wall deli departments by ensuring that quality, freshness, and product assortment are maintained throughout the department. This person will be training and mentoring new dairy associates, receiving, stocking and rotating product, taking special orders, and providing exceptional customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures
• Ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services provided by the dairy and meat wall deli departments
• Responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the dairy and meat wall deli departments
• Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad items
• Ensures the dairy and meat wall deli departments are cleaned and sanitized daily and meet the company standards for appearanceDelivers excellent customer service to all customers
• Receives, stores, and stocks dairy products including milk, eggs, juice, yogurt, butter, packaged cheese, meats, bacon, hot dogs, sausages, etc.
• Pulls out of date product from the dairy and meat wall deli shelves
• Orders product to meet the needs of the dairy and meat wall deli departments based on past and projected sales
• Completes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
• Sets a professional and positive example to others
• Communicates openly and frequently with the Grocery Manager, Store Director, and Grocery Buyer
• Ensures company standards for safety, sanitation, and productivity are maintained
• Teaches, mentors, and educates associates to help them be successful members of the teamProvides honest, direct, and constant feedback to associates regarding their performance and areas of improvement
• Writing the dairy schedule to ensure coverage and meet labor goals
• Quarterly inventory of all dairy and meat wall deli products
• Assists as needed to ensure the success of the store as a whole

MARGINIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
