Job summary

Upstate Niagara Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing & Inventory Management Specialist at the Dale Road Plant in Buffalo, NY. You will manage raw material, packaging, and ingredient inventory, coordinate SAP-based purchasing, and support uninterrupted production.

Collaborate with production, quality, and finance; ensure cycle counts, inventory health reporting, and timely goods receipts. The role requires 2–4+ years in inventory/purchasing in dairy or similar, with SAP MM/IM experience.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years of experience in inventory management, purchasing, or procurement in dairy or food/beverage manufacturing.
• Hands-on SAP MM and/or SAP IM experience.
• Knowledge of HACCP, SQF, GMP or similar food-safety standards.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
• Experience supporting cycle counts, physical inventories, and variance investigations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain stock levels of raw materials to support daily production using SAP.
• Create and direct cycle counts and inventory health reporting.
• Manage raw material inventory turns and warehouse capacity utilization.
• Oversee raw material inventory accuracy and 99.5% location record goal.
• Supervise dry warehouse personnel in daily goods movements, inventories and receipts.
• Plan and schedule daily production in SAP and generate process orders.
• Order raw milk and bulk ingredients, generate stock transfer orders.
