Job summary

Key duties include receiving milk from tankers, sampling for antibiotics, monitoring temperatures, logging data, and coordinating with supervisors to prevent contamination and downtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2–3 years of food manufacturing experience desirable; operator experience preferred.
• Industry Supervisor Certification for antibiotic testing

Responsibilities

• Receives and unloads incoming raw milk deliveries and performs proper sampling.
• Verifies milk volumes, temperatures, and conducts standard quality tests.
• Maintains accurate receiving records for traceability and regulatory compliance.
• Operates transfer hoses, valves, pumps, and intake systems safely and correctly.
• Performs daily cleaning and sanitizing of milking intake equipment, silos, and hoses.
• Tracks inventory and places orders with the supervisor.
• Reports abnormalities in milk quality or delivery issues to the supervisor or QA team.
• Trains and certifies other Intake Operators for antibiotic testing.
