Job summary

Berner Food & Beverage is seeking a Milk Intake Operator to join its Milk Intake team. The role involves receiving milk, standardizing it for production, and following GMPs and SOPs to ensure food safety.

The position requires coordinating with vendors and internal teams, operating the Ross ERP system, and performing related QA, maintenance and housekeeping tasks. Overtime and weekend work may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School Equivalent or GED or relevant experience in Milk Receiving/Food manufacturing.
• Must be able to lift between 25–75 lbs occasionally.
• Pallet Jack certification or relevant experience with pallet jacks.
• Overtime and/or weekend work may be required.
• Ability to climb a truck ladder and milk truck platform.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand the production schedule and volumes for each customer.
• Read, understand, and utilize Milk Receiving SOPs.
• Work with incoming milk vendors to ensure timely delivery.
• Collaborate with Demand Planning, Inventory and Procurement teams.
• Operate the Ross ERP system and basic computer skills.
• Troubleshoot machinery used in the milk room.
• Record quality testing and results.
• Conduct preventive maintenance as needed/assigned.
• Maintain a clean and safe area through housekeeping.
• Assist with condiment preparation when needed.
