Job summary

Gerrity's Supermarkets is seeking an Assistant Dairy Clerk to support the Dairy and Grocery Departments. You will stock shelves, rotate back stock, maintain clean areas, and assist the Grocery Manager as needed.

Expect professional appearance, adherence to safety and dress code, and a focus on delivering excellent customer service, with teamwork to ensure a positive shopping experience for guests.

Qualifications

• Ability to hear, speak, and understand the spoken word.
• Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret and understand the English language.
• Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch; lift up to 75 pounds.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• No minimum educational requirement.
• Able to calculate figures, amounts, discounts, and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Stock, rotate and dress grocery shelves.
• Maintain back stock and organize back areas.
• Keep grocery sales area neat, shelves, floors and back room sanitary.
• Maintain daily specials and replenish shelf labels.
• Verify products and correct shelf labels and signs; ensure proper alignment.
• Be at workstation at the start of your shift.
• Comply with safety policies and dress code at all times.
• Assist department manager and team members to ensure a favorable customer experience.
