Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC in Hickory, NC is seeking an attendant for the dairy/frozen department to ensure guest service and department operations are maintained. You will interact with guests, stock and rotate dairy products, and keep the cooler areas organized and clean.

You will also assist with unloading deliveries, maintain product levels, and help with front-end duties as needed to avoid any noticeable wait. This role requires physical ability to lift and move stock and to adapt to temperature

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 60 lbs occasionally and 40 lbs constantly.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of dairy/frozen food operations.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Effective communication and guest service skills.
• May be subject to temperature fluctuations in the dairy/frozen department.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stand, push/pull stock carts and operate a pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly interactions with guests and co-workers.
• Stock, rotate, and condition all dairy/frozen products on shelves per standards.
• Maintain neat and safe work area for guests to shop without agitation.
• Maintain organized, inventoried, rotated, and dated overstock in coolers/freezers.
• Minimize damage and shrink through inventory control and proper product handling.
• Assist with unloading and verifying merchandise upon delivery to the store.
• Order dairy products to maintain proper stock levels and inventory control.
• Maintain organized paperwork for ordering and stock loss documentation.
• Maintain sanitation standards on sales floor and in coolers/freezer areas.
• Perform front-end duties as necessary to uphold a no-wait standard.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
