Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Dairy & Freezer Clerk to stock and rotate items in the dairy and freezer sections, uphold food safety standards, and support merchandising and inventory tasks. You’ll rotate stock, check dates, and maintain clean, organized displays for members.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, teamwork, and reliability, with opportunities to contribute to seasonal programs and club performance while working in a dynamic retail environment at BJ’s.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in dairy, freezer, grocery, or retail operations preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cold chain management, food safety standards, and product handling requirements.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Email) preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Stock dairy and freezer products according to company planograms to maintain visual standards.
• Maintain cold chain and in-stock accuracy by monitoring temperature and replenishing items.
• Apply FIFO rotation procedures to reduce waste and maintain product quality.
• Regularly inspect products for expiration dates and condition; remove damaged items.
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards; clean coolers, freezers, and shelving.
• Monitor in-stock levels and assist with replenishment to keep department full.
• Ensure all signage and pricing are accurate to avoid confusion at checkout.
• Assist with seasonal merchandising initiatives and department goals.
• Adhere to company policies and maintain regular attendance.
