Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Dairy & Freezer Clerk to maintain the dairy and freezer sections, ensuring proper stocking, rotation, and product integrity while supporting merchandising and food safety standards. This role is essential to keeping the department organized and efficient and contributing to the overall perishables team.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in dairy, freezer, grocery, or retail operations preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cold chain management, food safety standards, and product handling requirements.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Email) preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Stock dairy and freezer items according to planograms to maintain visual standards and consistent member experience.
• Maintain cold chain and in‑stock accuracy by monitoring temperature and replenishing low or missing items.
• Apply FIFO rotation to reduce waste and maintain product quality.
• Regularly inspect products for expiration dates and condition, removing damaged items.
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards, including cleaning coolers, freezers, equipment, and shelving.
• Monitor dairy and freezer in‑stock levels and assist with replenishment.
