Job summary

Garelick Farms, Dairy Farmers of America, is seeking a Production Operator on 1st shift (7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Mon-Fri) to operate filler equipment and support a fast-paced dairy production line. This role requires attention to quality, safety, and accurate documentation as part of daily manufacturing tasks.

You will monitor packaging, adjust filler timing, collect samples for QA, and coordinate with other departments to keep lines running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Warehouse, production, or general work experience preferred.
• Certification and/or Licence may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Clean, set-up, operate, and monitor equipment of the production line.
• Complete all required documentation and scheduled quality checks.
• Monitor weights, seals, caps, and general packaging of product.
• Adjust filler timing and filling; check mat as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties.
• Collect required samples for quality assurance testing.
• Ensure proper packaging materials are used for each product.
• Watch for jams on the label operator and thread wrap to prevent downtime.
• Perform filler and filler line changeovers safely and efficiently.
• Complete cleaning checklist after run; prepare equipment for next run.
