Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a field representative to provide regular contact to farmer owners within a defined territory. You will build relationships, help improve milk quality, resolve issues, promote DFA programs, and support cooperative initiatives from a home office with daily travel.

The ideal candidate has a dairy background, a Field sampler’s license in MN/IA/WI, an undergraduate degree in agriculture, and FARM evaluator certification, plus strong communication and networking

Qualifications

• Field representative sampler’s license in MN, IA and WI, obtainable after employment
• Undergraduate degree in agriculture, agri-business, animal science, or related field
• 1–2 years of experience in dairy farming or dairy industry

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance relationships with farmer owners in assigned area
• Provide advice on milk production, quality, facility sanitation, and safety
• Assist in regulatory inspections preparation to meet state and federal requirements
• Promote DFA Farm Services and cooperative initiatives
• Maintain FARM evaluator certification and respond to industry issues
