Job summary

Qualifications

• Typically an associate’s degree in agronomy, animal sciences, or related field or equivalent work experience and training.
• Three years of farm operations experience preferred.
• Valid Maine driver’s license and driving eligibility per university policy.
• Able to perform manual labor and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform farm operations including animal feeding and general facilities upkeep.
• Assist with all farm operations and maintenance as needed.
• Operate farm equipment such as dairy robotic machines, tractors, and trucks.
• Assist with equipment repairs and maintenance; troubleshoot independently.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and students; maintain records.
• Complete required safety training and site-specific reporting.
• Perform other similar duties as assigned.
