Qualifications

• Retail experience required.
• Second language ability preferred (speaking, reading, and/or writing).
• Ability to handle stressful situations effectively.
• Excellent communication skills with customers and team members.
• Knowledge of basic math including counting, adding and subtracting.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an inviting environment for customers by answering questions about products.
• Gain knowledge of department products and respond to questions with recommendations.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers of dairy specials and promotions.
• Provide customers with fresh products and ensure orders are fulfilled.
• Suggest dairy items to meet customer needs and preferences.
• Check product quality, review sell-by dates, and take action when needed.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Maintain a positive attitude and stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and ensure proper temperature logs.
• Identify unsafe conditions and notify management; participate in safety programs.
• Inspect equipment as part of preventive maintenance and report repairs.
• Report safety risks or incidents promptly.
