Vallarta Supermarkets in Los Angeles is looking for a Dairy/Deli/Frozen Stocker to transport, stock, and display Dairy, Deli, and Frozen merchandise while keeping shelves clean, full, rotated, and appealing. You will follow Vallarta’s high standards for freshness, safety, and customer service.

The role emphasizes customer service, proper product handling, and compliance with safety guidelines in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn Dairy, Deli, and Frozen products and stock rotation practices.
• Knowledge of handling dollies, pallet jacks, box cutters and ladders.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Smile, greet, and assist customers with courtesy and respect.
• Merchandising: Stock shelves and displays according to company standards, rotate products, and remove out-of-date items.
• Inventory Support: Notify supervisors of low stock levels, help prevent out-stocks and overstocks, and maintain proper backroom organization.
• Product Handling: Transport merchandise safely, handle cartons carefully, and return damaged or distressed goods to designated areas.
• Compliance & Safety: Follow company and health code regulations, practice safe lifting and equipment use, and report unsafe acts or conditions immediately.
• Sanitation: Sweep, mop, and clean work areas; ensure shelves and displays meet company housekeeping standards.
• Teamwork: Work closely with coworkers and supervisors, assist in building displays, and support night crew as needed.
