Job summary

Uncle G's Marketplace is hiring a Dairy Clerk to energize the dairy department, keep shelves stocked, and help customers find milk, cheese, and yogurt. You’ll work with the Dairy Department Manager, assist with displays, and ensure the dairy section stays fresh and organized.

Join a friendly, fast-paced team and begin with training at a nearby gourmet store to get you up to speed and feeling at home with our brand and products.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering friendly customer service in a retail/grocery setting.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.
• Able to clearly communicate in English with customers and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Dairy Department Manager and assist in unloading merchandise for refrigerator placement.
• Assist in unpacking cartons and pricing items as directed.
• Monitor Dairy shelves and arrange according to stock tags.
• Coordinate with Dairy management on displays and end caps.
• Manage department merchandise and pull out out-of-code products.
• Log damaged and expired dairy products.
• Assist customers and direct questions to the correct aisle or product.
• Keep knowledge of current sales and ads; locate dairy products.

Responsibilities

1. Coordinate with Dairy Department Manager and assist in unloading merchandise for refrigerator placement
2. Assist in unpacking cartons and assist with pricing all items as directed
3. Monitor all store shelves within the Dairy Department and arrange it according to stock tags
4. Coordinate with Dairy Management on all Dairy store displays and end caps
5. Manage all Department merchandise and assist in pull out of all out of code products
6. Log in all damaged and out of date products within the Department
7. Assist all customers with questions, directing them to the correct isle or answering any direct question they might have on a product
8. Maintain knowledge on current sales and advertisements within the dairy department and correct store location of all Dairy products
9. Other duties and functions as assigned

Requirements

1. Must be 18 years or older
2. HS Diploma or equivalent
3. Must be a team player and enjoy working within a grocery market
4. Must be able to speak, read and communicate in the English language
5. Position requires great communication skills
