Job summary

Hugos Family Marketplace is seeking a Dairy Clerk to ensure the dairy section is well-maintained, stocked, and clean while delivering excellent customer service.

You will rotate stock, monitor temperature controls, and assist customers with inquiries in a fast-paced grocery setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in dairy handling or retail is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation is beneficial.

Job Purpose

The Dairy Clerk at Hugo's Family Marketplace plays a crucial role in ensuring the dairy section is well-maintained, organized, and stocked with fresh products. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting overall store operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Stock and rotate dairy products, ensuring that expiration dates are checked and outdated or damaged items are removed.
• Maintain proper temperatures and cleanliness in coolers and display cases to ensure product quality and safety.
• Assist customers with inquiries and provide excellent service to enhance their shopping experience.
• Receive and organize deliveries, ensuring that inventory is accurately accounted for and stored appropriately.
• Ensure that shelves and displays are clean, organized, and well-stocked to create an appealing shopping environment.
• Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and handling guidelines to maintain a safe and compliant work area.

Required Education
