Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Effective communication skills
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Essential Job Functions:

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions about products within the department and store.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and respond to customer inquiries with suggestions.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers about dairy specials.
• Provide customers with ordered fresh products.
• Recommend dairy items to ensure customer needs are met.
• Check product quality, review 'sell by' dates, and take appropriate action.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering or shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Maintain a positive attitude.
• Stay updated on current, upcoming, seasonal, and special ads.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, and keep temperature logs.
• Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repairs.
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
• Report safety risks, issues, and illegal activities such as theft or fraud.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
