Job Title: Dairy Clerk

Department: Dairy

FLSA: Non-Exempt

General Function: Responsible for rotating and replenishing merchandise, maintaining high quality standards, and providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service to enhance the shopping experience.

Reporting Relations

Reports to: District Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers, Dairy Department Manager

Positions reporting to this role: None

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide prompt, friendly customer service, exhibiting caring and patience.
  • Greet customers and assist with their needs, such as locating products or handling special requests.
  • Answer calls and assist customers over the phone.
  • Rotate and replenish merchandise, ensure quality standards, unload trucks, face merchandise, and maintain cleanliness.
  • Build displays, order supplies, organize storage areas, and adhere to hygiene and dress standards.
  • Report to work on time and follow store policies.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Participate in physical inventories, check invoices, assist in other store areas, and perform special projects as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics
  • Ability to solve practical problems, interpret instructions, perform basic math, and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions.
Education and Experience

Less than high school or equivalent experience, with six months or less of related experience preferred.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently and 10 pounds constantly.
  • Visual acuity and physical activities such as climbing, stooping, reaching, standing, and lifting.
Working Conditions

Exposure to noise, temperature extremes, dirt, dampness, and equipment hazards in a fast-paced environment.

Box cutter, two-wheeler, carts, cash register, intercom, calculator, pallet jack, RPM.
