Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a Dairy Category Manager to lead strategy and performance for assigned dairy categories, overseeing assortment, pricing, promotions, gross margin, inventory, and service levels. You will translate insights into category plans and collaborate with Operations, Merchandising, Marketing, Replenishment, Supply Chain, QA, and Finance to drive growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Food Industry Management, Agriculture, Supply Chain, Economics, or related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible retail, wholesale, procurement, merchandising, or category management experience.
• Experience directly managing dairy categories is required.
• Knowledge of applicable food safety, labeling, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication with Operations teams to drive category growth.

Responsibilities

• Analyze sales, margin, inventory, and market-share to build actionable category plans.
• Develop and maintain dairy assortment, space plans, and SKU rationalization.
• Develop pricing and promotional strategies balancing traffic and profitability.
• Monitor dairy markets and assess impact on costs, pricing, and margins.
• Collaborate with Finance, Replenishment, and Supply Chain on forecasts and cost-change requests.
