Job summary

Tate & Lyle is seeking a Technical Service Dairy Application Scientist for the NOAM Dairy Technical Service team. This role will support remote technical scientists by executing lab and pilot plant projects and advancing dairy science knowledge to support customers.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s or BS with experience in Dairy Science or related fields, strong problem-solving, and excellent communication and project management skills. Travel may be required and collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or BS with at least 2 years of experience is required.
• Expertise in writing technical summaries, reports, and presentations.
• Knowledge of dairy science, dairy products formulating, and dairy products processing.
• Demonstrates ability to deliver results in ambiguous situations; strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Remote Technical Account Managers to design and execute projects.
• Execute projects to expand the Dairy team’s technical knowledge on product sub-categories or ingredients.
• Conceptualize, design, and execute projects scientifically with team.
• Operate pilot plant equipment and learn related procedures.
• Translate project data into meaningful results and communicate conclusions clearly.
• Deliver technical presentations to customers or internal stakeholders.
• Support NOAM Dairy Technical Service team as needed.
