Qualifications

• Knowledge of the care and handling of domestic livestock animals.
• Knowledge of care of other domestic animals (dogs, cats).
• Knowledge of biosecurity practices for domestic species.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and restrain live animals.

Responsibilities

• Inspect dairy farms for cleanliness, sanitation, and biosecurity.
• Review inspection reports and enforce corrective actions.
• Inspect facilities housing animals, including pet shops and shelters.
• Collect samples for testing and coordinate with lab results.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and maintain records of findings.
• Travel to various sites and respond to complaints or emergencies.
