Job summary

Dickinson Center Inc. seeks a Certified Peer Specialist to provide recovery-oriented peer support services in home or community settings.

This role manages a caseload, builds trusting relationships through lived experience, and works with the CPSS Supervisor and Program Director to assist individuals in achieving recovery goals and accessing resources. Responsibilities include facilitating recovery groups and panel presentations, identifying barriers and recovery strategies, and helping clients

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Within the last 3 years, maintained at least 12 months of work/volunteer experience or 24 college credits.
• Must complete PCB CPS training and maintain CPS certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned caseload of peers for recovery-oriented peer support services.
• Establish trusting relationships with peers through shared experiences with mental illness, recovery and/or forensic history.
• Coordinate with CPSS supervision and report to the Program Director.
• Develop supportive relationships to identify strengths, barriers and recovery strategies.
• Facilitate recovery groups and participate in panel presentations to educate recovery principles.
