Dickinson Center, Inc. is seeking a Certified Peer Specialist to provide recovery-oriented in-home or community-based support to individuals with mental health needs.

You will manage a caseload and build trusting, respectful relationships through shared experiences with mental illness and the recovery process. Under supervision, you will help clients identify recovery goals, overcome barriers, connect with community resources, and may facilitate recovery groups and panel education on recovery

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Be self-identified individual who has received or are receiving mental health services for a serious mental illness.
• Be 18 years of age or older.
• In the last three years, have 12 months of work experience or 24 credit hours of post-secondary education with related supervised work or volunteer experience.
• Completed the PCB-approved CPS training; obtain CPS verification within six months of hire and maintain certification.
