Job summary

Delta-T Group Detroit, Inc. is seeking daily substitute teachers to provide classroom coverage in the Detroit and Metro areas during school hours.

Positions are TEMPORARY with opportunities across multiple schools. Applicants should be reliable, able to follow a chain of command for conflicts, and willing to support students and staff while maintaining documentation and reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation is required.
• Ability to follow the chain of command in conflict situations.
• Experience supporting children in educational settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help children develop social awareness appropriate for their age and developmental level.
• Gear the program to the needs of individual children with consideration for development, interests, special needs, talents and pace.
• Be willing to fill in where needed.
• Work cooperatively with instructional, support and administrative staff.
• Participate in staff development activities.
• Complete required documentation of activities and submit records and reports timely and accurately.

AVAIALBLE HOURS & HOURLY RATE

• Monday - Friday (during school hours)

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY

• Help children develop social awareness appropriate for their age and developmental level.
• Gear the program to the needs of individual children with concern for their developmental level, interests, special needs, special talents and individual pace of learning.
• Must be willing to "fill in" where needed.
• Work cooperatively with instructional, support staff and administrative staff.
