Job summary

Delta-T Group Detroit, Inc. seeks daily substitute teachers to provide a safe, nurturing learning environment in Ann Arbor area schools.

Positions are TEMPORARY, Monday–Friday during school hours with multiple schools available; compensation depends on experience and education. Office contact and referral services provided by one of the nation's largest agencies.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation required.
• Ability to follow appropriate chain of command in conflict situations.
• Experience in education support is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Help children develop social skills appropriate for their age and development level.
• Tailor the program to individual needs and pace of learning.
• Be willing to fill in where needed across classrooms.
• Collaborate with instructional, support, and administrative staff.
• Participate in staff development activities.
• Complete required activity documentation in a timely and accurate manner.

AVAIALBLE HOURS & HOURLY RATE

Compensation is dependent on Contractor's experience, education, availability, and skills.

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY

• Help children develop social awareness appropriate for their age and developmental level.
• Gear the program to the needs of individual children with concern for their developmental level, interests, special needs, special talents and individual pace of learning.
• Must be willing to "fill in" where needed.
• Work cooperatively with instructional, support staff and administrative staff.
• Participate in staff development activities.
• Complete required documentation of relevant activities and submit records and reports in a timely an accurate manner.
