Job summary

Assistance-Plus is seeking a Daily Living Support Specialist to assist adults with behavioral health needs at home and in the community. The role requires travel within a 30 mile radius, driving clients, and ensuring safety and emotional well-being.

Training toward MHRT/1 is provided along with supervision and ongoing development. The DLSS will ensure the client’s plan of care guides all activities, participate in monthly supervision, and maintain timely communication.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• MHRT/1 certification required (training provided).
• Proof of vehicle insurance and a valid Maine driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor consumers' ability to function independently in home and community.
• Ensure the plan of care drives all service activities.
• Maintain safety and emotional well-being of clients in homes and communities.
• Attend and participate in clinical supervision for at least four hours per month.
• Complete a minimum of 20 hours of training annually.
• Travel within a 30 mile radius and transport clients as needed.

The Daily Living Support Specialist (DLSS) carries out services that focus on the specific needs of adults with behavioral health diagnoses.
