Atlanta, GA (Buckhead) | $170,000 + Benefits | Onsite

I'm working with one of Atlanta's most recognised organisations as they continue a major enterprise-wide Finance Transformation programme.

Rather than relying solely on external implementation partners, they're looking for an experienced D365 F&O specialist to become the internal subject matter expert and help shape how the platform evolves over the coming years.

You’ll act as the technical and functional authority for D365 F&O, working closely with Product Managers, Developers, Enterprise Applications and implementation partners to ensure the platform is configured, integrated and governed in the right way.

What you’ll be doing

• Own the D365 F&O platform internally, acting as the go-to SME across Finance and Enterprise Applications.
• Partner closely with the implementation partner, reviewing solutions, challenging design decisions and ensuring best practice is followed.
• Provide technical and functional oversight across configuration, integrations, enhancements and platform governance.
• Review solution designs and support developers where technical guidance is required, without being responsible for day-to-day development.
• Work alongside Product Managers, Project Managers and technical teams to ensure new functionality is delivered successfully.
• Support data migration, platform design, release planning and continuous improvement as the implementation progresses.

What they’re looking for

• Strong commercial experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
• Excellent understanding of core Finance modules including GL, AP, AR and Fixed Assets.
• Experience acting as the internal owner or technical lead for an F&O platform.
• Good understanding of integrations, data entities, APIs and the wider Microsoft ecosystem.
• Ability to review technical solutions and confidently challenge implementation partners where appropriate.
• Exposure to X++ and extension patterns, with the ability to understand and review code, although this isn't a hands‑on development position.
• Someone who enjoys taking ownership, influencing technical direction and acting as the bridge between the business and technology teams.
