Job summary

Jackson James is seeking a D365 Business Central Systems Manager to own and advance the ERP environment, balancing deep technical capability with broad business process knowledge. The role supports international expansion and a move from on-premises to the cloud, with occasional US travel.

You'll lead AL development, integrations and APIs, align ERP initiatives with Finance, Manufacturing, Inventory and Supply Chain needs, and drive continuous improvement across the system for growth and scale.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with D365 Business Central in a senior technical/functional leadership role.
• Experience with AL development, system integrations, APIs and EDI.
• Strong understanding of Finance, Manufacturing, Inventory and Supply Chain processes.
• Experience with Business Central SaaS, migrations or implementations.

Responsibilities

• Own the Business Central environment, including development, maintenance and continuous improvement.
• Bridge technical development and business operations, translating requirements into ERP solutions.
• Oversee improvements across Finance, Manufacturing, Inventory and Supply Chain.
• Provide hands-on AL development, customisations, integrations and APIs.
• Support ERP strategy, upgrades and cloud transition from on-premises to the cloud.
• Work with stakeholders to optimise processes, reporting and integration of acquired businesses.
• Manage application support, troubleshoot issues and ensure scalability.

A growing manufacturer is seeking a D365 Business Central Systems Manager to take ownership of its ERP environment, combining strong technical expertise with a broad functional understanding of the business.

Following a recent acquisition and with international expansion plans underway, this is an excellent opportunity to shape the future of Business Central, drive continuous improvement and ensure the system supports the company's ongoing growth.

This is a remote position with occasional travel across the US.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the Business Central environment, including system development, maintenance and continuous improvement
• Bridge the gap between technical development and business operations, translating requirements into effective ERP solutions
• Oversee improvements across Finance, Manufacturing, Inventory and Supply Chain
• Provide hands‑on technical expertise in AL development, customisations, integrations and APIs
• Support ERP strategy, system upgrades and the transition from on‑premises Business Central to the cloud
• Work with stakeholders to optimise processes, improve reporting and support the integration of acquired businesses
• Manage application support, troubleshoot issues and ensure the system remains scalable and fit for purpose

Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV / D365 Business Central in a senior technical, functional or systems leadership role
• A combination of hands‑on technical development experience and strong functional Business Central knowledge
• Experience with AL, system integrations, APIs and third‑party applications, including EDI
• Good understanding of Finance, Manufacturing, Inventory and Supply Chain processes
• Experience with Business Central SaaS, ERP migrations or implementations
• Familiarity with Power BI, Jet Reports or the Microsoft Power Platform would be beneficial
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem‑solving skills
