The role requires at least 6 years in production-related processes and deep BC production module expertise, plus fluent German and solid English communication.

The candidate will lead SCM production implementations, collaborate with developers on customisations, support testing and go-live, and work in a hybrid setup with 1–2 days per week

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central SCM Functional Consultant with strong expertise in production processes and manufacturing environments.

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in production-related processes, with a solid understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and its production functionality. A good level of technical knowledge is also required to support solution design, troubleshooting, and collaboration with technical teams.

Fluency in German is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and translate them into functional solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

• Lead the implementation, configuration, and optimisation of SCM and production-related functionalities.

• Work extensively with the Production module, including production orders, bills of materials (BOMs), routings, capacity planning, and production scheduling.

• Analyse and improve manufacturing workflows and end-to-end production processes.

• Prepare functional specifications and collaborate with developers on customisations, integrations, and technical enhancements.

• Support system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), data migration, and go-live activities.

• Provide functional support, troubleshoot issues, and recommend process improvements.

• Work closely with stakeholders, key users, and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of professional experience in production and manufacturing processes, ideally in Microsoft Dynamics ERP implementations.

• Proven experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

• Strong functional expertise in the SCM area, particularly in production.

• Hands‑on experience with the Business Central Production module is mandatory.

• Experience with project-related functionality or the Project Management module is mandatory.

• Good technical understanding of Business Central, including the ability to work effectively with developers and understand customisations, extensions, and integrations.

• Fluent German and good English communication skills.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a consulting environment.

• Willingness to work in a hybrid model, with 1–2 days per week in the office in Germany or Switzerland.
