Job summary

Ngroup, Inc. is seeking a General Laborer to manually move freight, stock, and materials in our Indiana warehouse. Overtime and weekend work may be required, with holidays treated as part of normal schedule. Prior 3PL or e‑commerce experience is a plus.

The role involves handling totes, using pallet jacks, scanners, and labels, while maintaining quality and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• GED/High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to multitask within prescribed standards.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull equipment including pallet-jacks.
• Stand for 8+ hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Move freight, stock, or other materials to/from storage or production areas.
• Arrange totes and products neatly at workstation.
• Process products using tools including box cutter and pallet jack.
• Use handheld scanner to scan barcodes on products.
• Apply labels and process units as required.
• Sort products into appropriate containers for channels.
• Load totes onto conveyor following SOPs.
• Picking and packing of products.
• Maintain clean and organized work area.
• Maintain safe work environment.

Job description

Overview:

The primary responsibility of a general laborer is to manually moves freight, stock, luggage, and other materials, and/or perform other duties as assigned. Must be able to work overtime and weekends when required. It is a condition of your employment to work holidays that are within your regular work schedule. Prior experience with 3PL, Retail Distribution, and Reserve Logistics/E-commerce experience is a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas.
2. Arrange totes and products neatly at workstation.
3. Processes product using tools to include box cutter, pallet jack, and other equipment assigned.
4. Use handheld scanning device to scan barcodes on products.
5. Carry out necessary procedures to process units, including applying labels when required.
6. Scan products and place them in appropriate containers for respective channels.
7. Execute product refinement in line with established operating protocols and ensure adherence to expected standards of quality and quantity.
8. Safely load full totes of products onto the conveyor, following SOP producers.
9. Picking and packing of products.
10. Sorting product into gaylords.
11. Ability to conduct any other non-specialized tasks as needed.
12. Clean and maintain an organized work area.
13. Maintain safe work environment.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. GED/High School Diploma and/or prior experience helpful.
2. Ability to follow and comprehend instructions from leadership.
3. Ability to multitask and work within prescribed standards.
4. Ability to use, lift, pull, or push assigned equipment including pallet-jacks.
5. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
6. Ability to stand and use hands for eight plus hours per day.
7. Must have good communication skills.
8. Good hand and eye coordination required.
9. Ability to work close to other associates at some stations. (Less than 3 feet apart.)

The associate will be responsible for carrying out their tasks in a warehouse setting that may experience varying temperatures. They will be required to navigate within the warehouse to operate machinery and utilize other equipment. The associates must be able to endure long periods of standing and may occasionally need to walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
