Roselawn Elementary in Artesia, NM seeks a D-Level Special Education ACCESS Program Teacher to deliver specialized instruction for students with moderate to severe disabilities. You will develop IEPs, implement evidence-based interventions, and collaborate with families and staff to support academic, social-emotional, and functional growth.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and NM PED PK-12 Special Education license.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Current New Mexico Public Education Department PK-12 Special Education license.

Responsibilities

Design and implement individualized lesson plans aligned with IEP goals.
Utilize differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
Incorporate assistive technology and adaptive materials.
Modify general education curriculum to provide access to grade-level content.
Develop and implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
Provide direct instruction in social-emotional skills, communication, and life skills.
Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and paraprofessionals.
Communicate progress with parents/guardians and participate in IEP meetings.
Conduct assessments and maintain compliant documentation.
