Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York, is seeking a Cytotechnologist for the Cytopathology lab. The role involves screening and marking diagnostic material, assisting in data analysis, and supporting grant-related research projects.

Qualifications

• New York State Cytotechnologist license required
• ASCP approved training in cytotechnology required
• BA/BS in medical technology or life sciences required; Master degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Research analysis - Create CD-ROM based analysis system
• Understand principles of operation teaching Cytotechnologists
• Organize research analysis and maintain records ensuring correct review and record retention for grant support
• Perform statistical analysis and correlate data studies, prepare data for publication
• Maintain computer hardware and software needed to develop project keeping systems functional
