Job summary

KA Recruiting Inc. is seeking a Cytotechnologist in Nashville, TN, to examine cells on glass slides and detect diseased conditions, pre-malignant and malignant cells. Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm with standard lab duties.

The role requires ASCP Cytotechnologist certification, Tennessee Cytotechnologist License, and at least two years of college including a School of Cytotechnology. Prior slide screening experience preferred; maintain QA/QC programs and adhere to safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Two years of college education and graduation from an approved School of Cytotechnology
• ASCP Cytotechnologist certification required
• Tennessee Cytotechnologist license required
• Maintain continuing education for certification and licensure

Responsibilities

• Examine gynecological and/or non-gynecological slides daily following department protocols.
• Record findings in the computer system and maintain daily screening and departmental logs.
• Identify and rectify issues that may impact test performance or result reporting.
• Communicate relevant information to supervisors or appropriate personnel.
• Perform instrument maintenance and troubleshoot methods when required.
• Assist in documenting and maintaining effective QA/QC programs.
• Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with security practices and regulatory guidelines for protecting sensitive data.
• Follow the Corporate Compliance Program and policies.

Education

ASCP Cytotechnologist Certification
