Job description

Growing Laboratory Hiring Cytotechnologist

• Shift: Days
• Responsibilities: This individual is responsible for screening and diagnosing gynecological and non-gynecological slides while working under the supervision of pathologists and supervisors, following their technical direction. Activities include accessioning, staining, microscopic screening, and filing of cytology slides and requisitions. The cytotechnologist will report results of all tests performed according to established procedures. Additionally, they will participate in all cytology quality control procedures and ensure compliance with quality assurance and management standards outlined by the department, JCAHO, CAP, CLIA, and other applicable agencies. Troubleshooting technical procedures and making recommendations for solutions are also part of the role.
