The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in biology or related field, completion of an approved cytotechnology program, and ASCP certification or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology or related field; cytotechnology program completion.
• Cytotechnology (CT) ASCP certification registered or eligible.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a microscope and all cytology instruments.
• Process all specimen types received in cytology.
• Perform special staining.
• Maintain all required documentation.
• Operate and maintain a variety of laboratory instrumentation including surgical instruments, tissue processors, and chemical recyclers.
