Job summary

KA Recruiting Inc. is seeking a Cytotechnologist for a full-time role in Spring, Texas.

You will perform microscopic examinations of cellular specimens to detect and diagnose diseases, with responsibilities spanning slide analysis, collaboration with pathologists, specimen processing, QA activities, and staff training. The position emphasizes accuracy, adherence to CLIA and CAP standards, and ongoing education of laboratory staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cytotechnology or related field.
• ASCP Cytotechnologist certification or equivalent.
• Experience preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with lab equipment and data management software.

Responsibilities

• Microscopic Examination: Analyze gynecologic and non-gynecologic slides using advanced staining techniques to identify abnormal cells.
• Collaboration with Pathologists: Work closely with pathologists to discuss findings and assist in the formulation of diagnostic reports.
• Specimen Processing: Prepare and stain specimens, ensuring proper handling and documentation in compliance with laboratory protocols.
• Quality Assurance: Participate in quality control activities, including proficiency testing and adherence to CLIA and CAP standards.
• Education and Training: Provide guidance and training to laboratory staff and students, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
