Job summary

LCA Lab. Corp. of America is seeking a Cytotechnologist to join our team at Henry Ford St John Hospital in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI. The role involves screening and evaluating gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens to detect any malignant or abnormal conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical or biological science, cytology clinical laboratory science, or medical technology is required.
• Completion of a cytology program and ASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) Certification is essential.
• Three months or more of cytology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate gynecologic or non-gynecologic specimens.
• Perform microscopic evaluation of cytological specimens.
• Ensure documentation of workload recording.
