Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is seeking a Cytotechnologist to screen and report gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology cases, identify abnormal findings, and refer cases to pathologists. You will participate in quality control, training of students, and may engage in digital image analysis, FISH, and tissue review.

This full-time role requires a Cytotechnology degree and NA certification. Eligibility for CT/SCT certification before start is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or a Bachelor’s degree with completion of an accredited Cytotechnology program.
• Pass scoring requirement on skills assessment during interview.
• CT (ASCP) or SCT (ASCP) certification required prior to start date.
• For international applicants, detailed equivalency evaluation and US degree equivalency are required.

Responsibilities

• Screen and report gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology cases and refer abnormal findings to pathologists.
• Assist in quality control activities and in training cytotechnology students.
• May participate in digital image analysis, FISH techniques, and tissue review.
• Serve on the FNA Team providing on-site adequacy evaluation and support during times of short staffing.
